  • Update
  • Generation 2 of the EasyE3DMount introduces major changes. The design has been reworked from scratch to maximize the compatibility with Troublemaker 3D printer. A magnetic mount with spring loaded connection has been introduced to allow for easy removal of the fan and quick exchange of the fan duct setups and utilities, to maximize the versatility with different prints. The cable connecting to the print head is a 2x0.5mm^2 + 8x0.22mm^2 cable for powering the heater, E3D cooling fan, thermocouple circuit and cooling fan. The spring loaded connector is AVX 009155003201006 the conntact plate is custom made, you can easily make it yourself with a knife from a scrap piece of PCB.
  • Available in PlanetCNC web shop.
  • Changes:
  • Simplified the design.
  • Added a relief arm for the cable and bowden.
  • Added mounting holes for the thermocouple PCB.
  • Added side mounting holes for accessories.
  • Magnetic mountable fan and other accessories.
  • Increased the robustness of the clamp.
  • Original design
  • This is an E3D mount derived from nhofley's E3D Integrated Printhead v1.9, which is very nice but much more challenging to print.
  • Easy Ultimaker E3D mount is simplified with large sufraces or robust printing, minimised overhangs and suitable to be printed at high speeds and large layer thicknesses. It should be suitable to be printed from PLA as well, however ABS is strongly suggested.
  • Can be easily printed at 120mm/s and 0.2mm layer, infill 20% wall 1.5mm. On Ultimaker it takes about 2h 30min to print.
  • See a screenshot how to place parts on the bed.
